ARIA Fixer

ARIA – Accessible Rich Internet Applications is a set of specifications for allowing screen-reader software to be know that something has changed inside a web-page (without reloading the web-page).

We find ARIA in use more and more, but unfortunately the web developers sometimes get it wrong, particularly when it comes to making the otherwise hidden ARIA information available to the screen-reader.

We also see examples where an area of a website has been set aside to display error or status messages but they are not properly labeled as such for ARIA.

This script package looks for these types of errors and tries to fix them on any page.
